ALNour W AlAmal Association is registered under No. 106 of 1980, providing financial and in-kind assistance and supporting the families of the blind by helping them enroll their family members in schools and find employment. Women used to visit the blind in their homes to offer help and support. Mrs. Istiqlal Radi dedicated her time to serving as the head of the Committee for Assistance to the Blind at the Red Crescent. She made significant efforts to obtain the land on which the association was built from the Cairo Governorate. The association's founding decree stipulated the establishment of an institution that includes institutes and schools for blind women for education and vocational training, nurseries for blind children, and the provision of social services for blind women. It also focused on conducting social research and presenting it to the relevant authorities. Thus, it became the first institution dedicated to the care of blind women in the Arab world.
